F3 Freeway Traffic Management Video

Client: Roads and Traffic Authority, New South Wales, Australia.

Challenge: To create a clear and concise message to the users of the F3 motorway in New South Wales on how to respond, and how the client responds and manages a congestion process.

An important political issue with a congested road link between Sydney and Newcastle. Clear and strong messages are provided on how to respond and behave in an accident scenario.

The logistical links and connections between the traffic control room, the incident site and emergency response vehicles is demonstrated. How traffic is controlled and release valves for the congested vehicles is articulated clearly. Virtual 3d models of the site and facilities were built to tell the story of how the highway operates in extreme circumstances.

Numerous iterations of the video and storyboards were provided to the client for iterative review. A series of management and political sign-offs were required for release.
